On Saturday, March 7, 2009 the doctors of Door Creek Dental offered up their facilities to reach out to the needy in our community. Two other area dentists, as well as the majority of our staff of hygienists and assistants also volunteered their Saturday here at DCD working alongside Dr. Kirkpatrick to touch a person in need. Many of these people, forgetting what life was like without severe and chronic dental pain, were seeing a dentist for the first time in years. Some were hearing how to brush and floss for the first time in their life. “It felt good to be on a dental “mission trip” in my own back yard”, said Krysta, a DCD hygienist. In total, 5 offices, 15 dentists, 24 hygienists and many other office staff banded together that day in our community for the common cause and in turn were able to provide cleaning, filling and extraction services for over 160 guests of the Touched Twice Clinic.
